Mother tongue is used for the language that a person learn as a child at home. Children growing up in bilingual homes can, according to this to this definition, have more than one mother tongue or native language.
First language (native language, mother tongue) is the language a person learns first. Correspondingly, the person is called a native speaker of the language. Usually a child learns the basics of their first language from their family. Good skills in native language are essential for further learning, as native language is thought to be a base of thinking. Incomplete first language skills often make learning other languages difficult. Native language has therefore a central role in education. The term "mother tongue" could be misleading. In some paternal societies, mothers are from different places and speak different dialects or languages. Yet their children usually only speak their local language. Only a few will learn to speak his/her mother's language like a native. Actually, mother in this context probably originated from the definition of mother as source, or origin.
The order in which these languages are learnt is not necessarily the order of proficiency.

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunity
Discrimination towards women and girls, or what is known as gender-based discrimination, is one of the most pervasive human rights violation. It severely limits the ability of women, girls and the communities they live in to protect and promote their health.
Equal rights, the officially recognized equality of citizens before the state, the law, and the court; one of the fundamental elements of democracy. The constitutionalism guarantees of equal rights and extent to which equal rights are realized indicate the level of democracy in the society and state system. Equal opportunity means taking positive steps to end discrimination, to prevent its recurrence, and to create new opportunities that were previously denied qualified minorities and women.
Gender-based discrimination is irrevocably connected to negative health outcomes for women and girls. Its associated poor health outcomes are often compounded by other forms of inequality related to socioeconomic status, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation or geographical location. While these challenges are imposing, and often encoded in "normalized" ways of living.

Responding to Climate Change
At a time when responding to our changing climate is one of the most complex endeavors.Climate includes patterns of temperature, precipitation humidity, wind and season.Climate change affects more then just a change in weather,it refers to seasonal changes over a long period of time.It is a global challenge and a serious threat urgent responses from all sectors. It's effects on both humans and the environment make it an even more important concern.Global warming believed to cause greater frequency of occurrences of the El Nino or El Nina phenomena, has greatly affected crop, livestock and fishery production.
Most of the people don't value the nature. They just destroy it.They don't know how to take good care of it.Little by little, our forest are becoming bald. Some of the sea foods are consumed because of dirty water. We,human being are also polluted by air and of all the things around us that can ruin our health.Because of destroying our nature,we are now facing climate change.
Now,we should know how to use our natural resources properly. We should treasure them too..Before it's to late,do what we must do today.Do not wait for tomorrow because tomorrow maybe the time you'll the one to regret..

My Teacher, My Hero
Many years have been past in our lives, but, did we ask ourselves if what may be the rules and worth of a teacher in our lives? Let me say something about them....
Being a teacher is a very hard job. Yes it's true, why? It's because they have so many obligations. Year by year they encountered new faces, different character traits of a student they handled, but that is not the reason to give up or to walk out. They never get tired teaching an irresponsible student. They tried their best to amend the bad attitudes of a student. A student like me considered the teachers as our second parents. As a parents, they never allow their children grow up with out knowledge. They brought up their children with good manners and right conduct, like what a teacher's did. They trained their students everyday. We all know that their obligations is to teach us many things. They taught us how to read, to write, to listen, to count a numbers and how to be a responsible person in our society.
Without teachers, no professionals in our country. Without them, our country will not progress. We thank GOD for giving us the teachers in our lives..=)

My One and Only Hero
Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Wonderwoman, we consider them as hero. They have their powers, they are brave, they carry the hard or heavy things. But, did the true hero have their magic or powers? No isn't it?? not all heroes have their magic. A person who has a good attitude, a person who did something good or something special in your life can also be a hero. Everyone of us has their own hero, like me.... I have my hero.
My hero is very kind-hearted person, caring and lovable. She give good counsel to me, everytime I did wrong, everytime I have a problem and everytime I got sick. She's always at my back. She enlightened me good manners and right conduct, When I did wrong or a mistake, she correct it, sometimes she scolded me for my own lesson. She is my first teacher. When I was young, she taught me how to write, how to read, how to count numbers and how to color things. She taught me how to cook and how to clean. I learned many things from her, so I'm proud to say to anybody that she is my HERO, my only one mother.

2nd State of The Nation Address of President Benigno Aquino III
Last July 25,2011, is the day when Pres. Benigno Aquino III delivered his 2nd State of the Nation Address o the SONA. Many politicians attended the said SONA.
Some Filipinos are busy in watching and listening to the SONA. They, we, and I expecting so much that Pres. Pinoy discussed about the problem of our country particularly poverty but sad to say, I was so disappointed because I expecting so much about that. He discussed only one topic about "No to Wang-Wang". Yes, I also agree with that, but I hoped that the topic be more informated, knowledgable to citizens. But it is not. He did not consider some more important matters, he also not consider more solutions to the problems in our own nation. He's only concentrated on "Wang-Wang", in investigating. We don't need that much. What we need is that solutions to our problems that irritates our mind. We need a big change!!!!!

"Isulong ang Breastfeeding, Tama, Sapat at Eksklusibo"
Every month of July, we celebrate the nutrition month. In this year, the theme of the celebration is "Isulong ang Breastfeeding, Tama, Sapat at Eksklusibo". The aim of this theme is to give importance to Breastfeeding and to encourage all mother to breastfeed their newly born babies.
We all know that breast milk is the best source of nutrition for a baby. It has the perfect combination of proteins, vitamins, fats and carbohydrates that helps your baby against infection and diseases. Breastfeeding is also a good way of how a mother feed her baby. It is more safe to babies because it is clear, natural, and it is a fresh milk. Mother can also save money instead of buying very expensive milk that is contaminated.Breastfeeding must be given as early as possible and can be start giving food supplement at four (4) months.
Breast milk is very helpful and very useful to the mothers and to the babies. With this, they can avoid many diseases and have a healthy life. So, lets encourage all the mothers on this earth to breastfeed their babies now, for their good future!!!!
